Forthcoming exhibition: Suspended In Green
Exhibition runs: 15 August
- 20 September
Private Views:
Thursday 14 August 6 - 8pm
Saturday 15 August 12 - 2pm
Thirty-three
contemporary jewellers from all over the world explore the colour Green.
Green: it's just a colour, yet it can also stand for so much
more. It’s the colour of money, of envy and of energy; it can stand
for ethical products, the environment, symbolise fertility and nature.
This exhibition will be a juxtaposition of jewellers, themes and styles, all suspended from the gallery’s ceiling, which will invite the
viewer to engage and interact with the work.
In
addition, to compliment the unique exhibition pieces each participant has
created a lower priced collection of jewellery – offering an interesting way to
begin building a contemporary Jewellery collection.
Suspended In Green is
an international touring exhibition curated by Laura Bradshaw-Heap
and selected by the jury, David Clarke and Mah Rana.

Wendy Ramshaw Black & White
Wendy Ramshaw Black & White
8 May - 7June 2014
Our current exhibition is the iconic work of Wendy Ramshaw. Wendy Ramshaw CBE RDI, one of the UK’s
leading contemporary designers reflects on the use of black and white materials
within her jewellery from the 1960's to present day. Diamonds, gold, perspex,
ceramic and moonstone to name a few. Grouping together pieces which only
contain black, white and shades of grey allows us to focus clearly on the
delicate balance and geometry that are quintessential to Ramshaws work.

Professor Yasuki Hiramatsu 28 March - 26 April 2014
Visit the gallery this week for the last few days of our current exhibition!
Professor Yasuki Hiramatsu (1926 - 2012) was one of the great pioneers of modern Japanese jewellery, creating works of outstanding beauty and grace. The methods he employed where often delightfully simple work beaten with a hammer, folded by hand and roughened with stone; turning cold, hard sheets of metal into soft ribbons, playful crumpled up balls and enigmatic forms. His life’s work was a celebration of gold, its richness, strength and inherent beauty. This exhibition features exquisite bangles, neckpieces, brooches and rings made in the last 10 years of his career.
