As well as our brand new blog, we have also started a Pinterest. Oh my its addictive! We are slowly but surely adding images of work by all of the makers we have in the gallery if you want to go on and take a look. http://pinterest.com/lesleycraze/

Some of the things we especially like on Pinterest are:

And while completely unrelated to jewellery or textiles, we also love Lotte & Blooms board about flowers and botanicals.  Although, funny story... Lesley Craze actually used to run a flower shop right next door to the gallery!

Salome Lippuner

 

Hello from all of us here at Lesley Craze Gallery. We've decided to start a blog to give a little insight into all thats going on in the gallery from day to day.

Last week Swiss jewellery artist Salome Lippuner was visiting London and she dropped into the gallery to give us her new collection of lacquered jewellery. She spent all morning here telling us about each piece, how they were made and what inspired her. She uses a complex process with involves applying layer after layer of japanese Urushi lacquer to a base, which is then smoothed and polished until the slightest shadow is turned into a rich lustrous shine.
